Despite a constantly shifting political landscape, US private credit is still an attractive option for investors looking to break into the sector - they just have to know where to look.
According to La Trobe Financial's Chris Paton, while diversification is always important, in this instance so too is ensuring you're invested in high-quality assets and not in borrowers in cyclical sectors or those which are capital intensive.
This is particularly important when looking at US technology companies, he says, especially as investors become more wary of heavy spending on artificial intelligence breeds volatility.
