Nigel has over 20 years' experience in investment markets (plus three years relevant economic policy experience in Federal and State governments). He was Chief Economist and Senior Bond Market Strategist (Australia/New Zealand) at Merrill Lynch Australia and held various roles at AMP across equity, fixed income and asset allocation.
At van Eyk (which he joined in 2001), Nigel is currently the Head of Research which covers fund, tactical and strategic research groups. This role reflects his experience in researching funds and leading sector reviews across most domestic and global asset classes over seven years. He is also a voting member of van Eyk's Blueprint Investment Committee and co- author of van Eyk's flagship Investment Outlook Report, published monthly.
Nigel's academic qualifications are: Master of Commerce (Sydney University); Master of Applied Finance (Macquarie University); Diploma Securities Institute of Australia (Finsia / Kaplan); Bachelor of Economics (Honours) (Australian National University). He is a member of the IMCA Seminar Committee.
