Lewis South is Chief Economist within Macquarie Funds Group's economics team. The team monitors developments in the domestic and global economies with a view to making an assessment of the economic outlook for growth and inflation in both the near and long term, along with the implications this has for monetary policy. Lewis also produces a monthly commentary on global and domestic economic developments, which is highly sought after by financial advisers.

Before joining Macquarie Lewis worked as an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia for six years, analysing international economic developments and developments within the domestic banking sector. Lewis has an honours degree in Economics.
