Simon Kent-Jones has been appointed as investment strategist to Ord Minnett's research department, where Simon will be responsible for driving the private client research offering, including investment strategy, portfolio construction, asset allocation, ideas generation, client seminars, new private client research publications, presentations and road shows throughout the Ord Minnett branch network.
For 13 years Simon worked for Macquarie Bank, most recently establishing and running the Macquarie Financial Services Group private client research team for its 280 advisers. Kent-Jones was an institutional equities analyst until 1997, when Simon moved over to the retail side of the business. Kent-Jones was also the chairman of Macquarie Financial Services Group's investment Committee.
